Thank you for joining us!

Balatonfüred hosted the eighth EuroVelo and Cycling Tourism Conference from September 24 to 26, 2025, which was sold out: nearly 350 professionals from 31 countries attended, including those from outside Europe, such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Japan.

The three-day professional programme focused on cycling—not only as a tourist activity, but also as a sustainable form of transportation and part of a healthy lifestyle.

Programme

The three-day conference will revolve around cycling and cycling tourism. The core of the programme will consist of presentations and workshops from experts coming from all corners of Europe, with a central focus on environmental, social, and economic sustainability – all through the lens of cycling. The programme will be made dynamic by thematic cycling tours. These will provide tangible examples, offering an opportunity for discussion. Those attending for three days can start building connections with Europe’s top experts right from the welcome party on the first evening.

EuroVelo routes in Hungary

The EuroVelo network, which spans all of Europe, also weaves through Hungary’s breathtaking landscapes. Hungary is a key hub, with four EuroVelo routes passing through: EuroVelo 6, running from the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea; EuroVelo 11, linking Norway to Greece; the EuroVelo 13 known as the Iron Curtain Trail; and EuroVelo 14, which traces the waters of Central Europe. These tours take cyclists along high-quality bike paths, low-traffic public roads, traffic-free asphalt and dirt roads, all set in stunning scenery.
